Zitat von Saberstorm
Like I said, so far it is pretty good. I hope to write 175 pages this next month!!!
Have you considered participating in NaNoWriMo? It's a fun little contest held yearly in November. Check it out: http://nanowrimo.org .
At the moment, I'm reading Richard the 2nd for English Lit, and will be moving on to Midsummer Night's Dream thereafter.

SO basically as I was standing home today wondering what to do with my pointless life I took a look at the book shelf and I thought "what the hell am I doing? We have so many books and I haven't read a single one. Am I a fucking idiot" and so I grabbed a bunch of 'em and now I'll read randomly whatever I grab.
Right now I am reading Rendezvous with Rama. And I like it. I don't care if it's good or bad... but god damn it, I need to read something... anything!

Finished two books during a work trip to Munich:
Forrest Gump by Winston Groom; the book that inspired the movie of the same name. Very different and not as sugar-coated as the movie, and although some of the stuff was way over the top, an enjoyable book. But still, one of the rare cases where I prefer the movie.
Hellbound Heart by Clive Barker; the book that inspired the movie Hellraiser. A very good novella by one of the undisputed masters of late 20th century horror. Great writing, well-told story, nice attention to details and a strong feel of mystery. Far better than the movie (but I always liked Hellraiser II more).
Both books I'd read before, but so long ago I didn't remember much.
At home, I'm reading the Finnish translation of a French book whose English title is The Black Book Of Communism; a collection of academic essays on the crimes and atrocities committed in the name of and by the communist regimes in the 20th century. Not very far into it, but it makes for grim reading, and when explaining the historical backgrounds of things, quite educational at times, too.

At home, I'm reading the Finnish translation of a French book whose English title is The Black Book Of Communism; a collection of academic essays on the crimes and atrocities committed in the name of and by the so-called communist regimes in the 20th century. Not very far into it, but it makes for grim reading, and when explaining the historical backgrounds of things, quite educational at times, too.
Sounds like it'd fit in Warhammer 40,000 without any real adaptation, then.

Ha, the typical commie cop-out.
Currently also reading a Finnish horror novel called Elävien Ja Kuolleiden Kesä, which translates to The Summer Of The Living And The Dead; the debut novel of the author, and one of the first Finnish horror novels (dating back to the early nineties). Has ideas and tries to put local flavour into the "supernatural mystery haunts backwater village"-mould, but doesn't totally succeed in making the story a good one.

Nicolò Machiavelli - Il principe (dutch translation ofc.)

Brother bought it and i decided to read it too. Nearly finished. Didn't expect this shit. Haven't read a single serious book in my life, but this one was just too full of badassery to not get hooked to. I'm pretty slow and lack concentration when reading though, is 150 pages in about 4-5 hours considered slow? It's pretty small text, or maybe that's just me being used to using ctrl+mouse up whenever i consider text too small.
